Cabin GetAway

We went up to Island Park for the weekend... They had so much fun in the snow! 

They built igloo's and snow slides.

Lexie decided that we needed to put a puzzle together

... a 500 piece puzzle... 

she did really good at helping but we are a 

looooong way from being done!

We rode the snowmobiles to Big Springs... it is one of my favorite places on Earth.  

It is so peaceful and beautiful!

Tessa couldn't go fast enough...

Viva Las Vegas

I'm always AT LEAST one month behind on posting .... that's just how it goes!!!

So... In January we went to Las Vegas with Chris' Parents.  We took Tessa and her cousin Brytlee.

The girls had so much fun!

It was Chinese New Year while we were there... Some pretty amazing dragon displays!

Imagine a 3 year old PUSHING a stroller through crowded hotels, restaurants, casinos etc.

I WAS A NERVOUS WRECK!!!  I THINK I HAD AT LEAST 50 PANIC ATTACKS!

We took them to the Children's Museum... THEY LOVED IT!!!

The Highlight of the Trip was watching them ride the rides at Circus Circus!  It was the funniest thing ever... they would get off the ride, run as fast as possible and get right back on again.  There were no lines so they just went in circles as FAST as they could!!!

 

While everyone was having a GREAT time at Circus Circus... I was back at the condo throwing up at least every 5 minutes (literally) ... I WAS SOOOO SICK... I have never been so dehydrated in my entire life.  Finally at 11:00 at night we found an Emergency Room.  I received IV's and medication for the nausea and vomiting.  I just had some sort of bug, BAD BUG!  It was horrible!  Luckily it was a great hospital and I got right in and got feeling better.

So, if you are ever in Vegas and you get sick go to the St. Rose Dominica Hospital!

They even saw a MERMAID!!!

It was a good get-away, despite the E.R. visit!

Holidays 2011

Our Christmas's are not like most families.  Our Christmas is full of complete and udder chaos, severe lack of sleep, working 16-17 hour days and an orphaned child.  It is our busiest time of year at The Caramel Tree.  
I am always so relieved when Christmas Day is here!  

Tessa received a cash register.  She loves to "pay!'  Poor kid doesn't have a fighting chance of getting out of the retail business... between catering and the candy store... she is in for it!  

She also received a sleeping bag that she has slept in EVERY night since.

  

My brothers gave her a GINORMOUS teddy bear, whose name is Paws!  

She carries him EVERYWHERE!

The funniest part of our Christmas was when Chris and I exchanged gifts... I gave him and Tessa a Wii.  He just started laughing.  He pointed to a big bag and said open that one.  I did and come to find out he bought Tessa and I a Wii!  2 Wii's for Christmas!  We both got them for Tessa because she LOVES to dance, so we also ended up with 2 Just Dance Kids! 

Our New Year's was quiet.  We stayed home this year and went to bed early!
